Episode 14

Download Episode 14

What a difference a few extra days makes!  Since last week’s Guildcast was three days early, we’ve got ten days worth of news and emails to work through for episode 14.  In this episode, we rhapsodize over voice acting and game sounds, the MMO manifesto, and Jeremy Soule.  We speculate over what the Curse.com buyout of GuildWars2Guru might mean, and discuss the surprise exodus of several ArenaNet staffers.  Finally, if you have not explored the Guild Wars Wiki, you need to.  Oh, also?  We really want a Sandwichmancer.

Finally, we tackle Big Email Mountain and listen to a poem about the death of the monk class, read by Rubi’s awesome guildmate Blood Avenger.  See you next week!

The GuildCast theme song is “The Dirt” by Goddessmusic.

41 e-mails!? Sounds like you guys need another bonus e-mail episode :P, especially because you are going to be packed for time in next weeks episode it seems.

  2. Haha, PAX+GamesCom means you guys will be incredibly busy over the next three weeks.

    Good luck ^_^

  3. Will there be a meetup at PAX?

You really must offer a prize for the first person to find the sandwichmancer in-game when it comes out.

the first real audio in gw (besides the cutscenes) that i noticed was when you talked to the asura in rata sum they say “oh great a bhooka” or “im busy” but imagine like asurans conversing with one another without you, that’s revolutionary.

Cant wait for this week, new prof and Gamescom.

As for PAX what you have to do is pull the fire alarm and then character creation. =p

You guys gonna be very busy this coming week 🙂

I agree with both of you for the music part as I never turn music off when I play too.Music in GW is like a discrete companion who knows where/when to support you.

  7. Unfortunately, for us poor scribes, the amount of information (and misinformation) pouring across the ether will likely sink us 🙂 Due to the amount of stuff going on I was going to send Shawn an email to say that I wasn’t going to send an email, but decided to put it here instead 🙂

Odd thing though, the demo at gamescom has a Necro playable character, yet no official class reveal.
