This one is an all-email show where Shawn and Rubi make it halfway through (in 75 minutes!) the backlog of emails they have stacked up. But don’t let that stop you from sending in your own! We love ’em.
The sound on this one is a bit… different as Shawn plays with his new computer and new recording software.
We also encourage you to send us your questions for ArenaNet regarding clarification on any info we’ve learned about GW2 so far.
EDIT: Here’s the GW guild forum link I promised: http://guildwars.incgamers.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=221
The GuildCast theme song is โThe Dirtโ by Goddessmusic.
If youโd like to contact us, shoot an email over to shawn@guildcast.com or rubi@guildcast.com. You can also follow us on Twitter or Facebook. Thanks for listening!
They announced somewhere that there will be NO companions. But thee will pets for certain professions.
No companions link here: http://www.guildwars2guru.com/forum/interview-with-eric-flannum-jeuxvideo-t3627.html
According to Flannum, “There are other professions that have pets, but each profession utilizes pets in a different way. Rangers are the only profession with nameable, fully customizable and controllable pets.”
It’s been confirmed that all races will have access to all professions. Somewhere. Again.
That doesn’t sound right….whos your source ?!?!?
Seriously? It’s been confirmed countless times. Twitter @guildwars2 if you really think I’m wrong. I don’t know why everyone thinks that’s impossible, it’s not like it’s impossible to do that.
Here. A new blog post confirms it, even though it has been confirmed countless times before.

“And finally, the last question was whether characters from each of the five races would be able to play any profession. James answered that while this issue was the subject of much debate within the company, the outcome of that discussion was yes, every race will be able to play every profession.”
Shawn and Rubi,
(Mostly Shawn) The comment you keep making about the ten skill slot system in Guild Wars 2, the one where you say “…there’ll be your healing skill, your res…” etc., is in fact incorrect. There is no dedicated slot for a res. There will, however, be a dedicated slot for an elite. GW2 Skill Slots =
5 (3 main 2 offhand) weapon skills
3 choosable skills from a pool (race and class)
1 choosable healing skill
1 choosable elite skill
Thanks for your time,
Nicholas
P.S.
Resurrecting someone in GW2 sounds like it will be handled much like pet taming in GW2 as well. Simply walk up to a downed character, maybe click on them, and a button may pop up to act as a “res”.
Speculation based on facts,
Nicholas
I would wager this was a momentary slip that if given a red flag, they would have stopped to say “Ah right.”
Those are the humdingers for podcasters and it’s insanely hard not to commit these.
Yeah, it’s one of those things you say while rambling and rambling on a podcast ๐
Yes it was the legendary skill hunter for the second time. thanks =)
gratz ๐
someday I will drag my Ranger’s weary bones and get him some titles ๐
So where’s the forum link you promised? ๐
It’s in now. Thanks for the reminder ๐
FYI, in the video linked below Daniel Dociu says his name. It sounds like “doh-chuh.”

And speaking of pronunciation: Rubi, you have a very nice accent. You are not at all unpleasant to listen to.
Lucas
Maybe you should put out 2 shows a week, one edited to be without any errors at all (would be maybe 2 minutes long and boring as hell), and one just as your previous 10 podcasts (fun and human).
Errors, are good, they will be picked up and commented on here, adding to our fountain of knowledge.
Looking back there are very few errors anyhow:)
